Welcome to 110hours.org
The WPRK 110 Hours Marathon aired from Monday, January 17, 2005, through Friday, January 22, 2005. It was hosted by Dave Plotkin, who attempted the Guinness World Record for the Longest Continuous Radio Broadcast by a Single DJ — staying on-air without sleep for the entire marathon.
The week-long event featured live music, interviews with many notable figures, and was featured in various news and media outlets, including NPR and the Howard Stern show.
With monumental support from volunteers and the community, the event also raised $17,000 for station improvements and internet streaming capabilities.
110hours.org is currently working to preserve the broadcast in its entirety with the goal of making it publicly available.
